Detienen en San Felipe a Fidel “N”, presunto líder asociado a Los Mayos
Fidel “N”, suspected leader of the criminal organization "Los Mayos," was captured in the municipality of San Felipe, where he had been hiding while directing his operations remotely, according to authorities in Baja California. Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda stated on Monday, November 17, that the arrest was made possible through intelligence work and coordination among the State Citizens Security Force of Baja California, the Army, the Navy Secretary (Semar), and the Federal Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection.
Reports indicate that Fidel was leading a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS), with operations in San Luis Río Colorado and the Mexicali Valley, and he was apprehended over the past weekend. "To achieve this important arrest, we had a key exchange of information with security agencies from the United States, given that this priority criminal target is sought by American justice for crimes related to organized crime, specifically arms trafficking," Ávila Olmeda noted.
The criminal leader has been handed over to the Attorney General's Office (FGR) to determine his legal situation under the National Legal Framework. The governor emphasized that this achievement was possible due to the collaborative efforts of the Baja California Peace Building Table, which works to coordinate inter-institutional actions.
