Vocalista del Grupo Fugitivo rompe el silencio y declara ante la Fiscalía de Tamaulipas

REYNOSA, Tamps. (apro).- Nearly three weeks after the disappearance of five members of the music group Grupo Fugitivo in Reynosa, the attorney general of Tamaulipas, Irving Barrios Mójica, reported that the only survivor of the musical group has been interviewed. This is Carlos González, the vocalist and the only member who was not kidnapped, whose testimony is now part of the investigation file for this case.
"We interviewed him, analyzed the videos, and collected statements from all individuals related to this case. All of them are included in the lines of investigation," detailed Barrios Mójica. He added that meetings have been held with the families of the victims in Ciudad Victoria, and search protocols have been activated with support from the National Search Commission and other federal agencies.
“At first, there was some confusion in communication, but the protocols were applied and the corresponding investigation into the criminal acts was initiated,” he stated.
Regarding the DNA analyses conducted on the families to identify the located bodies, the attorney general mentioned that there is still no precise date to obtain the results, although the process is underway with the assistance of other specialized institutions. The official avoided giving an estimated date for the completion of the analysis but indicated that they continue to work on the genetic comparison between the located remains and the samples provided by the victims' relatives.
